:D - confirmation of my thinking really....

Looking at an engineered 3000A underground service...forget service calcs, this isn't a technical question...

Engineer is calling for (8) 4" conduits, each with 4 - 750MCM...

Bid cost on the 750MCM is $16/ft +/-
4" PVC is $135/100 (including misc couplings, elbows, etc...)

total run is about 400'...

here is what i'm looking for a confirmation on...

when I break it down, i'm looking at approx $550/ft for all 8 conduits (each conduit is about $70/ft for conduit and wire...

which puts me at about $55,000/100' of the 8 conduits...

or $220,000+/- for the 400' of pipe and wire

this is cost only...

am I missing something? or am i thinking straight....

Well at $16.00 per ft * 4 = $64.00 + $1.35 per ft of pipe = 65.35 Per ft
8 pipes * 400ft = 3200ft
3200 * 65.35 = 209,220.00

The latest (2 wks ago) pricing sheet from my supplier shows 750 mcm selling for close to $17/ft.
Don't forget that you've got to pay sales tax on all that pipe & wire, unless it's a tax exempt job.

And of course you know that pricing from suppliers varies with the amount of materials you purchase with them over a given period of time. Some pay 17/ft and some pay 16/ft possibly.

I'm not at my desk, your labor could probably be factored down for the repetitive pulls with only one setup and if you have pre-cut reels.
Also consider phase colored pre-cut reels
