Laundry room countertop

Do the same spacing rules apply to laundry room countertops as kitchen countertops? Must you have outlets every 24"?

No it's not a kitchen counter top

Small "kitchen" appliances seem to come with 2' cords, I think that is why we have the 4' rule for kitchen countertops. Irons, however have much longer cords.

No. None are required at all.

I did! But it was my kitchen, ahem, my wife's kitchen, and I really did not want to hear a word about not having enough receptacles.

You know it! 3 20 amp circuits on the counter top, private circuit for the frigerator, Private circuit for the Microwave/hood fan, I know required. Under cabinet lights on switches, light over sink that wasn't there when we started it all.
This was a remodel of the kitchen. Oh, and I changed the service too! Had to, ran out of spaces. LOL
