meter base

I dont have good options to install meter base and service mast.. At ground level at basement door there is only 16" of masonry wall from door frame to corner of house , the door opens in and that is on the hinge side . Is it possible to install the meter base disconnect and mast on that 16'' wall ? I will have to count part of the door as being in the 30 " required space or is it 36'' on that . There is a retainer wall against the corner so if I go around the corner the elevation go up 4 ft and i barely have enough height to get the meterbase up enough because the first floor cantilevers out over the basement . I would have to L B out and then L b up to get around it with mast. If this is not clear I will take photo tomorrow

Yeah, thats hard to picture but sounds like it will work assuming this is single phase.

sounds like it will work BUT, like always, run it by the AHJ/inspector first. In most cases the door is not an issue until the building official says otherwise.

Make sure you run it by the electric co. too.
