is there a difference between Robroy and Ocal? specifically regarding the thickness of their PVC coating?

edit to add - for comparable conduits...i understand there are different types of coatings...

We've always used those terms interchangeably.

Both manufacturers specify coating thickness at 40 mil nominal (0.040" ? ???).

There are three manufacturers of PVC coated rigid that we use.

OCAL-blue threads
Robroy-Red threads
Perma-cote-Green threads

OCAL-I try to avoid using this brand.The jacket is easily damaged during the threading process.

Robroy and Perma-cote are both superior to OCAL.I prefer to use either of these.

Get a set of these for you threader and you will ruin less conduit.
