MDP Bus for splice

I would like to know if it is permissible to splice a grounded conductor on the bus of a MDP.

Isn't that where it terminates anyhow. I don't see a code issue with it.

Are you drilling and tapping the bus? The manufacturer may not permit such an exercise. Call them or email them and ask if they permit it. If they do, ask for an email conformation. It is always good to get it in writing for future issues.

I am installing an ATS, and I need to break the neutral. The problem is the feeders come out of the ground (via conduit) then go behind the bus with six other feeders and land on the breaker. I can not trace the neutral and I am not going to guess so I see two open spaces where I can land the incoming and outgoing neutral.
