Tying lights up an NEC code or just a building code?

Your building code will reference ASTM C-636.2.7.2. Unfortunately I can't provide a link as this was on my previous machine and its a pay only standard. If one of the computer savvy guys can find this for free...:)

You nailed that one. It seems the new building code uses a lot a references to other ,very expensive, standards. Rather than print the information. The ASTM, ASI, ACI etc, would cost about $3500 to buy all the referenced standards. I don't know about other states but, California passed a law that says, a code must be available for free if a government agency is enforcing it. So to make more money the ICC has changed how it writes the code. The real crappy part is some of the standards are over $300.00 each and they are not that many pages, maybe 80 pages.
