That is a fantastic way to do business. I pay you for wrong instructions. Something wrong about that. I don't exspect them have all the answers to questions they did not plan to be asked but they need to be accurate on what they planned to cover.

When the inspectors were the ones giving the class they were doing it on their own time and not the AHJ time. I'm pretty sure the AHJ would feel the same way and want them to include the mentioned disclaimers.

They are just as human as everyone else and can make mistakes. Nice thing about having an inspector give a CE class on code is that they know what violations they see the most and can plan to cover related topics in their class. Most of their students are people they inspect for.

I always tell my students to feel free to challenge us inspectors. We make mistakes, after all we are not gods only demigods.

But even if a panelboard required a disconnecting means it would not have to be a main breaker.
