Sorry... I just looked at the pix and thought it was a sink.

406.8(C) Bathtub and Shower Space. Receptacles shall not be
installed within or directly over a bathtub or shower stall.

IMHO, those receptacles are not located within or over the bathtub, so there is no violation of 406.9(C).

The question is this: How do we define "within" a bathtub or shower stall? My definition of a stall is the wall space that the tub touches (more or less). The intent of the rule, in my opinion, is to limit the use of shavers, radios, hair dryers, and other appliances which are cord-and-plug connected, from falling into the tub or shower. We do not allow receptacles within 6 feet of a pool. Why would anyone want a receptacle within 12 inches of a tub full of water, GFCI or not?
