Feeder from xfrmr to 3 section panel

If there a feed from a transformer to a 600a 3-section panel, Would I be sizing my feeder from THREE separate 600A breakers..if that makes sense. There are(obviously) three separate panel schedules and they show a 600A main in each on. Or would they be just ONE 600a main breaker Thanks.

Normally in a multi-section panelboard only one section has a main.
The others are linked by lug connections,

You need to clarify your situation.

As Augie47 said, it is most common for the first panel in the group to have a main breaker and lugs to feed the other panels.

But, I have seen installations where there was a separately mounted 200A breaker that fed three individual panels mounted directly next to each other. each panel had its own internal '200A main' breaker.
