Dining room AFCI requirements

210.52B requires the dining room receptacles to be on the small appliance branch circuit. 210.12B requires dining room receptacles to be AFCI protected.
Am I reading this correctly and how are people dealing with this?

Yep, I just run a separate circuit to the dining room as I don't want the kitchen counter on AFCI
