Nice.

I can't tell you how many people I have to explain why gold is used on contacts.

As far as electrical resistance goes Gold is not even close to copper much less silver which has the lowest, But what gold is good for is corrosion resistance, As for using it for contacts? not in the thinking of relays, but fixed connection points that rarely are taken apart like connections in computers, and IC chips, very common on processors, memory, Etc...

So which do you think? I'd pick Aluminum in a heartbeat, but I'm sure there are plenty of dissenters out there.

It would depend upon the application, Copper where there is high moisture in the air, Aluminum for connections in dry areas would be ok.
