BX touching sprinkler pipe

I am having trouble with a project. The inspector wants me to move the BX that has been installed because it is next to the sprikler pipe. Is this in the code book?

Not an electrical code issue, but may be a sprinkler code issue and I am not familiar with the sprinkler code.

Is it supported properly?
Put self fusing tape on it where it is touching.

If it is next to a sprinkler pipe and not a sprinkler head it is not a NFPA 13 code issue.

Use a tie-wrap and attach the cable to the pipe.

Then tell them you meant to do that.

This is BX we are talking about. It is a rehab. We weren't sited any violations, they are just making life difficult after everything was run they now want us to move it.

Tell the inspector to specify what code article you have violated. If you give in to the

AHJ, what's next, requiring all grounds to be up ? or down ?

Rehab, that is the way you found it no work needed. Are you going to strap all the cable in the whole job? Was the sprink. there from before? How is this your problem?
