Hello,
What section prohibits installing a lighting contactor inside of a load center rather than in a separate enclosure? I've been looking through the code for a couple hours now and can't find it - Thanks! DX

PS: this is a branch circuit in a sub, not the incoming feeder.

None that I know of and it is quite common to find panelboards (Article 408) and contactors mounted in a common cabinet (Article 312).

'Loadcenter' is a marketing term and you will not find it in the NEC.

Thanks a lot guys -Will surely save me some hours of searching through the NEC. Although it's kinda hard to put it down once I get started. My wife thinks I'm crazy but that's the way I feel when she's reading her "romantic novels"! What a waste of brain cells!

Thank you for the quick reply -Much appreciated.
