Switchboards & lugs

All of our switchboards come that way. We usually send the switchboard manufacturer a shop drawing or engineered drawings and the spec. that shows the various size condcutors etc. that will be used in conjunction with their equipment.

They usually come with aluminum set screw lugs.
Check your quotes and submittals to be sure.

Watch your spec to make sure compression lugs weren't specified.
If you ask, you can get compression lugs from the gear supplier.

This is probably the first time I've seen you add something constructive to one of Horsegoer's posts rather than talking down to him and pointing out his obvious lack of experience.

I wonder if it's just a fluke or something we'll be seeing more of...?

This was a legitimate question.
I don't have anything against this kid.
I don't mind helping if I can, but as an estimator he should know some of the things that he asks about.
He should get some field experience.
