1. Anyone see the type of fitting at the outside lamp post? It lookes more like something used in a pneumatic system.

2. Use of a junction box plate to cover unused breaker slots in an old panel?

3. Outdoor string of lights - a taut metal cable was used for support, with chain to a wood fence. Is this legit?

4. 1000's of lights strung on a tree and branches - are there any concerns with respect to damage as the tree grows?

Looks to me like a comglomeration of electrical fittings. Truth be told probably a mismath but borderline legal IMHO

a lot of that is questionable. Support, connections, cord...

picture # 1 is a compression fitting screwed on a ridgid coupling folowed by a seal-tight fitting.
picture #2 is legit although i agree... its ugly
picture # 3... what were they thinking????
picture # 4 i can't really see to well so... no comment...lol but i'm assuming they are wrapped around the tree there.... i'll bring the marshmellows

In picture #4 it was hard to see at first, but the light strings around the tree are permitted by 410.16(H). However, the overhead conductors may not be supported by the trees.
