Just received a correction notice for not anchoring EMT within 3 feet of boxes which are cut into in an existing masonry wall. Once we re-grout, both will be fully embedded in masonry. Do I still need to strap the EMT before we re-grout?

No mention of this in Article 358, but perhaps there is another cite I am overlooking.

thanks!

Sounds fine to me. Let the inspector say what he thinks was violated.

He cited 358.30 on the notice "all EMT 3' or more shall be strapped."

358.30 (A) says "shall be securely fastened." Mos of us would qualify masonry embedment as "securely fastened" but I'm probably going to need a cite to satisfy him.

Embedded in masonry is more securely fastened then a plastic plug and one hole strap will ever be. IMO the inspector is grasping at straws.
