Will duct seal work below grade?
I have to drill a hole from inside a basement and it will come outside below grade. I won't have time to let silicone or spray foam set up before putting the dirt back.

yep. it will dry underwater, and it expands when it dries, hence the name hydraulic.... duct seal will just cause a mess,
and put oil into the area, making any subsequent patching not work.

Just don't do like my son. He mixed a batch with hot water. The stuff set up in about 30 seconds with the trowle stuck in it :happysad:

The directions on the brand I used in the basement repair said let it sit 5 minutes before applying it. It only took one batch for me to realize that 5 minutes was too long. It was already to hard to spread.
