Does anyone know of a listed "other" electrode? I've never seen one, but would be interested in seeing an example if there is such a thing.

Since it had been over eight hours since the OP I guess not.

I don't know of any, however, I have not tried to find one. I just use whatever is most popular and available.
Always been one of the follow the crowd guys, never the forge ahead of the pack type.

I would have to look at the ROP's but I would believe that was put in there to allow for new developed electrodes to be allowed to be included if listed for the purpose before it could be included in the next code cycle???

Which in my book was already covered in (8):?

How about a D-6 cat? One of my students installed an generator on a little island in Alaska, maybe it was Ick Ick Island. They needed a ground, so attached a ground wire to a D-6 and drove it into the river.
