Hello to all- Is there a NEC article that says that a generator sub-panel, or any sub-panel for that matter, has to be a certain distance from a water heater? The space directlly on front of the sub-panel is not obstructed. Thanks to all who reply.

As long as the working space in 110.26 is met, WH near a panel is okay.

I was using the 2011, but since you are on 2008 I can use that one also. It is still 110.26
