gfci commercial rooftop

Quick question, do I need a gfci on the roof of a commercial building? The receptacle will just be general use.

210.8(B)(3) states they are required on rooftops but you are not req. to install the receptacles unless there is equipment up there as an a/c unit.

I agree with Dennis, you don't need one up there "just because".

Remember if you do put one up there it must be a WR type with an in use cover.

If you put a receptacle on the roof, it needs to be GFCI, and WR, and with a WR in-use cover.

I agree with the replies sofar, however I might add if receptacle required because of some equipments needing service / maint. then receptacles must be placed not more than 25ft from closest edge of any equipment enclosure.
