Is it avisable to seal the conduit stub up's in a hand hole as part of a long underground run?
Duct seal?
Is it a spec.?
I install crushed stone at the bottom of the hand hole for drainage, and leave the conduits open...
Not a code requirement. You can have it with a open bottom.
Chris, do you guys ever use bell ends or only male adapters and plastic bushings?
I agree with the duct seal, keeps the sand and debris out of the conduit.
If an inspector wanted to be really anal, I believe he could tag you on couplings on the ends of conduit. Is a coupling listed as a conduit termination? A terminal adaptor is. Why throw them a bone over something that really doesn't cost me any more?
Oh yes of coarse. Box adapters. Use them all the time also. Great invention for squeezing nipples in between existing gear.
Take a closer look Chris, those aren't box adapters.
I see, those slide over the conduit not into it? Never seen those.
And whats that little flange at the bottom for?
