I have read 551.77 and still fuzzy on the location for pedestal.

Have a rv park that needs 11 pedestal, replacing existing ones.

Old ones are in a row about anywhere from 15' to 35' away from RV's. Would it be legal to place new pedestals that far away.

I'm reading it as they need to be right next to the RV. There are no concrete pads just dirt (old park). So they could park closer or further, its open. All are back-in spaces.

But is there a distance that the RV cord is allowed to be ran? They have long cords on some there now. I don't want inspector knocking it down because they are to far away.

Thanks for any help.

They way I read it, for a back in spot, you have to be between 5' and 7' from the left edge of the parking spot. And somewhere within 15' from the back of the vehicle.

Did you see the definition of a Rec. vehicle stand in 551.2? That may help a little.

This would have been a good one to include a diagram in the handbook for. I wonder if Mike has any graphics for this on the website?
