AL Wire

I was getting pricing on #350 AL wire and my supplier came back with XHHW and not the THHN that I requested. He said it comes in XHHW most times and there is really no price difference compared to THHN. He also stated that large minimums are required for AL THHN. Is this all correct? Thanks

AL XHHW is all they stock around here.

XNNW is the most common AL insulation in these parts. Some folks find it superior as an insulation but a bit more difficult to pull.

What others have said plus they likely want large minimums for AL THHN because it is not in stock and needs to be special ordered.
