Not sure which article this violates if it does. We are doing a small strip mall with 4 tenant spaces. Each tenant space has a sign assigned to it. We ran metal clad cable from the panel to the front of the store and mounted a weather proof box on the outside. We now plan on running separate conduits to the entry area where the signs will be mounted. About 70 feet from the farthest store front. My coworker suggested running one conduit, box to box picking up circuits as we go. To me this feels like it violates code but which one?

So you would be combining conductors from four individual metered tenant spaces in a common raceway and boxes?

Exactly. Which means you would have to turn 4 separate breakers off in 4 different units to kill all power in that box. :dunce: this has to be against code,or at least common sense correct?

Feeding all of the signs from a common house circuit and running switch legs to each tenant space instead of powering each sign from the corresponding tenant's meter would take care of that part of it. But it would bring power from a second meter into each store as far as the switch.
