How many watts, and what type of application are you dealing with?

Short answer is yes even though most of the 120vac to 12vdc LED power supplies draw less than 1 amp. We mfg and install LED signage and have run into problems with local inspectors when a company provides power for the sign off of lighting circuits or whatever other circuit happens to be handy.
