kitchen renovation on high rise bldg

I found that the wall of this high rise bldg are very narrow less than 2'' thick. how the heck you run new outlets there? I am thinking emt or is it allawed mc cable embeded in plaster?

Interesting. There is no framing? How is the cement board supported and attached to the adjacent walls ceiling and floors?

I have run into some 1960's HUD housing units that had certain walls made of nothing but 4 sheets of 1/2 inch drywall all laminated together. Not quite certain how they were attached to floor, ceiling, or adjacent walls, but they are solid and you are not putting a fist or foot through them.
