There are two buildings each with a service. One building has a generator, and we would like to back-up some equipment in the other building. Is this permissible? What code articles cover this? 225? 230?

From the `08 NEC, Article 445.19: "A single generator supplying more than
one load, or multiple generators operating in parallel, shall be permitted to
supply either of the following:
(1) A vertical switchboard with separate
sections, or
(2) Individual enclosures with overcurrent protection tapped
from a single feeder for load separation and distribution."
