does anyone know of a 2 gang cover you can put on a mudring ( plaster ring) to protect the wires during the drywall process. We are using the permant wiring for temparary lighting on the job and need to cover the switch boxes. I have found single gang ones but they fit like crap on a 2 gang application.....

May be cheaper and faster to drill holes in a 4 x 4 blank cover and screw it down to the device holes with a #6

take 4 sq blanks and bandsaw to desired size, use spare mud ring to mark 2 holes, drill and install on sw box

that may work for a few, however i am talking about around 84 of them and future projects...

In that case, probably safer and easier to either omit the switches during makeup or use stringers instead.

How about a simple 2-gang flexible trimplate/blankplate and a pair of tin snips to trim to size..

I don't think he has installed switches, just has energized conductors in the box and wants to keep others out of the box.
