The contractor mounted the means of disconnect for VAV boxes to the ceiling grid. The disconnect is just a simple toggle switch with pilot light. Was wondering if this is an acceptable means of mounting? I can't seem to find anything in the code saying that it can't be mounted here. The VAV box is located just above the switch in question, approx. 24". The switch is mounted to a junction box that has the straps spanning the grid T-Bar similar to a smoke detector installation.
