I installed a plumb cord drop to service a machine. The location of the machine has moved
12'. The cord drop now goes over to the machine at about a 45 degree angle. Is this a code
violation?

Ugly I'm sure but code violation I doubt.

If the 45 degree angle takes it low over space that someone is likely to walk or carry equipment through, it could be a safety hazard, but NEC concerns itself primarily with risk to the wiring rather than to a passerby.

Would not 110.12 come into play here?

No, since it was originally installed in a neat and workman like manner.
Moving the machine had nothing to do with the installation of the cord drop.

But I would think that the bothersome look would drive someone to straighten it up regardless of wether it was a violation or not.
