When you have an insulated ground wire included in branch circuits. How many branch circuits can you typically put on one insulated ground wire (assuming isolated grounds are not specified). Does anything in the NEC direct on this or is this primarily dictated by how many ungrounded conductors you can group in a conduit without derating?

Thanks.

You can have 20 circuits in a conduit and as long as the equipment grounding conductor is sized for the largest load then that is all you need. I used 20 but you can have as many as you want

Here is the Code reference:

250.122(C)
Multiple Circuits. Where a single equipment grounding
conductor is run with multiple circuits in the same
raceway, cable, or cable tray, it shall be sized for the largest
overcurrent device protecting conductors in the raceway,
cable, or cable tray. Equipment grounding conductors installed
in cable trays shall meet the minimum requirements
of 392.3(B)(1)(c).

I would not pull more than one in each raceway (regardless of the number of circuits) unless it was part of a spec for the job.
