I have seen this before and am being asked to do it. In a commercial kitchen, can you make a cord drop through a drop ceiling with a female cap on the end? Should i secure a 1900 box to the drop ceiling with a caddy fitting we use with lights instead and come out there with the cord? And do they make an end cap with an integral strain relief?
Thanks in advance.

The debate we're having in another thread may end up here too.

You cannot drop the cord through the ceiling as you cannot have flexible cord conceled above the ceiling, you could put a box in the ceiling and us a strain relief connector there and drop it down.
