Art. 215 Feeders

Art. 215.2 (A) (4). The 2011 Code states in the last sentence; Paragraph 310.15(B)(6) shall be permitted to be used for conductor size. The rule is for whether or not to count the grounding or bonding conductor not sizing feeders. Is this a mistake or a typo in the code ? I checked Art. 550.33(B) Feeder Capacity, it says (in part) shall be permitted to be sized in accordance with 310.15(B)(7) Would anyone familiar elaborate on it please.? R. Mendez:blink:

A new 310.15(B)(2) was added in the 2011 code and that shifted the following section numbers up by one. That change in 310.15(B) was missed and 215.2(A)(4) was not updated. 215.2(A)(4) should cite 310.15(B)(7),

Don, so it is a Code error. I'm wondering if anyone has proposed a correction with NFPA concerning this snafu !

It's about time as that section didn't make any sense and either confused or negated parts of 310.15(B)(7)
