hey fellas.. trying to hook up a rental generator to a existing transfer switch. the issue is that the generator is massive pre made whips of 500 kcm is it legal for me to hook it up to 125amp switch?

You can have a lower ampacity switch or overcurrent protective device then the generator is rated. The connection may be an issue as the lugs on the switch may not handle 500 KCM. You can bug on a smaller wire to make that connection.
