Hi,

I'm trying to find in code what option I have for conduit on my overhead riser. Could someone guide me in the right direction? Can I use PVC, or EMT?

you may want to check with your POCO ours sets out their requirements 2 in rigid is minimum if you attach to it, emt and pvc are allowed only if you house knob Thet require the service to be in conduit.

I understood the first few words here, but "Google Translate" couldn't even touch the rest of the last sentence. :p:?

Here's the relevant NEC section. As previously stated it makes no mention of size or type of conduit.

230.28 Service Masts as Supports. Where a service mast
is used for the support of service-drop conductors, it shall
be of adequate strength or be supported by braces or guys
to withstand safely the strain imposed by the service drop.
Where raceway-type service masts are used, all raceway
fittings shall be identified for use with service masts. Only
power service-drop conductors shall be permitted to be at-
tached to a service mast.

Thanks guys! I will definitely have to talk with POCO. I have a piece of angle iron for support so I should be ok, but better safe than sorry.
