We have come into some used 3 pole siemens Cbs that we would like to dispose of. they were in a cabinet that got dropped. none of them appear to be damaged, but the cost of sending them back to siemens for testing and the time frame involved made it not practical.

Any idea where we could get some donut money for them?

One is a 1600A 65kAIC breaker. the rest vary in size - 100A, 150A, 450A.

There are also three 310A Siemens soft starters, along with assorted other goodies.

is there a market for this kind of stuff?

I saw a similar 1600A breaker on Ebay listed at $8000. Lots of donuts.

There are places that will buy them but I bet you won't get $800 for it. There are people calling me all the time looking for used breakers that they can buy but they don't want the residential junk I have- they want the big ones. Doesn't Zog do this for a living? Contact him

Yeah, expect about 10 cents on the dollar at best.

Careful on the soft starters too. Siemens 3RW44 soft starters have a nasty reputation for the cases cracking under their own weight and shipping vibration even without being dropped.

10 cents on the dollar is still some serious donut money.
