Bridging over a water pipe dialetric union (for electrical grounding)

In NC the plumber is not allowed to mess with the bonding clamp or he can be cited for doing electrical work without a license
Simple solution for plumbers, leave the clamp attached to the couple inches or so of pipe necessary for the clamp, that way you did not mess with wiring, just the piping:rotflmao:

Pipe requires repair right at the same spot where clamp is located, now what?

Not a problem. What I tried to say is to leave something like two inches of pipe with clamp still on it hanging instead of just leaving the clamp hanging. Then the plumber did not mess with any wiring. A little sarcasm was also intended. I would not be surprised if someone hasn't done exactly that.
