Can expanding foam cut through a wire when sprayed into a raceway?

I would not expect expanding foam to have any adverse effects other than temperature derating on wires in a raceway.

With out a doubt, yes. If I or some other put it there I would expect nothing other.

No doubt. That stuff gets everywhere you don't want it to. Can't wash it off, can't scrub it off. I have lost more than one pair of good jeans and a shirt fighting the battle.

I was just going to ask an expanding foam question and saw this post......so.....

Number of conductors through a bored opening............in reference to a cable or several cables going through a plate... , what if said cables are now
encapsulated in this foam (heat dissipation?)........

Where more than two NM cables containing two ormore current-carrying conductors are installed, withoutmaintaining spacing between the cables, through the sameopening in wood framing that is to be sealed with thermalinsulation, caulk, or sealing foam, the allowable ampacityof each conductor shall be adjusted in accordance withTable 310.15(B)(3)(a) and the provisions of 310.15(A)(2),​

Exception, shall not apply.
