Residential question:
Existing 200a four meter bank [3unit and house] has four discos rated 60a each.
My unit will have all existing k&t abandoned.
I will pull a new distribution up to the middle of the unit.
Load calcs read 41a
1575 ft^2 unit with not much power usage.

Do I have to upgrade the new subfeed to 100a or can it persist as 60a?
local codes may apply i will get with the ahj today @330p
thx!

hey 102 you are the man!

(D) All Others. For all other installations, the service disconnecting means shall have a rating of not less than 60 amperes.

Definitely look at local codes, in particular those which apply to rental housing, not just electrical codes.
Here is an example from the Port Huron code:

4.8
Service and/or Feeder.
The service or feeder to an existing dwelling unit shall be a minimum of three-wire, one hundred ampere capacity.
Service equipment shall be dead front, having no live parts exposed whereby accidental contact could be made.
All plug type fuses shall be Type S.
Exception: An existing properly installed sixty ampere capacity, three wire service and feeders of thirty ampere, two-wire are acceptable if adequate for the load being served.
