I am studding to get my electrical licenses. I decided tostart at the very beginning and start with Electrical Theory. I just finishedMike Holt DVD?s on this and it got me to thinking. Will oversized conductorshave an effect on how well motor overloads work? Our natural thought in thefield is that bigger is better when it comes to conductors but it seems to methat this would cause a loss of heat causing over loads not to be able torespond correctly.

No The overload heater is either a solder pot type that melts at a certain temp, or an alloy wire that heats at a certain amp/deg.
