Can EMT be threaded? and what code reference is that?

Is it possible? I guess it is possible.
Can it be threaded to standard pipe thread sizes? No. To start with it is not the same dimensions as other pipes that are threaded to these standards.
Does NEC permit threading EMT? No, not threaded in the field anyway. Look at 358.28(B) Exception does allow for factory threaded integral couplings though.
Also 358.2 definition of EMT suggests it can not be threaded.
