Motors? Or motor controls? Different books.

If you want info on standard MOTOR connections, look at this. You can often get these as freebie giveaways at EASA member motor shops. I find them very handy to keep in the tool box.

You can buy one as well if you don't want to wait, Amazon charges about $7, I've seen them on Fleabay for less, but often they are old and not up to speed on code issues. The motor connection guides are going to be the same though.

This EASA shop publishes it on line, its just that if you print it out, it's big.

Not sure exactly what you are asking. Care to elaborate...

In the meantime, see if the following helps...

What i meant was that i am dealing with Motor Schematics and wiring diagrams for the first time.
i was wondering if there is any document or manual that helps you to master motor schematics and
motor wiring diagrams.
or is it that you have to deal with as built drawings to learn it.

Thanks

For many of the common applications you will run into in the field Ugly's pocket reference book may come in handy for you, has some other useful information in it also like some common raceway and conductor calculation information, basic electricity calculations, some you may not need, others are reminders for those things you only run into once in a while, voltage drop calculations, short circuit current calculations, buck and boost transformer connections, weights and measures charts, metric and US measurements conversion charts, some common math and trigonometry formulas, conduit bending including multi-shot bending information, pulley calculations, and some first aid information.

There are other similar publications out there, this is just one of the most popular ones.

If you care to spend $27 or so on a very good reference book go to:http://www.amazon.com/Electrical-Motor-Controls-Gary-Rockis/dp/0826916759
This textbook presents technical information on the control devices used in contemporary industrial electrical systems. A sampling of topics includes electrical safety, magnetic solenoids, reversing motor circuits, power distribution systems, solid-state relays, reduced-voltage starting PLCs, and ac.
Another good reference is NFPA 79, Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery. I have a 1997 edition and it is an excellent reference for wiring dagrams. The current edition is 2012. http://www.nfpa.org/codes-and-standards/document-information-pages?mode=code&code=79&DocNum=79
