nylon snake curling up

Nylon fish snake. this thing comes all rolled up in a nice reel, but as soon as I try to use it, I find that it still wants to be all curled up!
Is there any way to straighten (permanently) this nylon tape (3/16dia)

Looks like I'll have to. This nylon snake is useless

I went through the same frustration. I couldn't push it 30 feet through a 3/4" PVC.

Mine works great! You need to take your side cutters and cut the snake into 6 foot pieces.
I used these pieces to tye my new trees up in the yard!
I sure you can find some other cleaver ideas!

My fiberglass tape curls too.

And so does a steel tape - but neither maybe as bad as the nylon tape, IDK never used a nylon tape.

I got a nylon tape from a customer who used it once and then gave it to me as payment for a quick service call. At the time I didn't realize there were both fiberglass and nylon, or what the difference was or I never would have taken it. A real POS.

Have to be careful with steel tapes when rolling them back up too. I've had it strike me in the you know what. Lol

One of my buddies was rolling up a fiberglass tape inside a building and the end whipped upward and broke an office window.
