Follow up question... if a diesel fire pump is being used, are there any power source requirements for the diesel fire pump controller? 695.3 only applies to electric motor-driven fire pumps. Does this mean the code allows for a diesel fire pump controller to be fed downstream from a service?
All I see in regards to diesel fire pump controllers is that they should be listed for fire pump service (695.10), they shall be within sight of the engines they control (695.12), and control wiring (695.14(D)).
