Can a C-7 Contractor install EMT conduit?

A C-7 contractor installed EMT conduit (thousands of feet) on a school for telecom cables. The EMT was not supported properly and the bends were very poor, raceways not straight, no box off-sets, etc, etc. Does the CSLB, California State License Board, allow C-7 contractors to install EMT conduit for telecom cables?

I believe in Cali the EC biggest license is C-10, and I say that only from viewing this forum.

C7 is a low voltage contractor in Californicate. C10 is a electrical contractor. Here is a link to the classifications at the CSLB. http://www.cslb.ca.gov/About_Us/Library/Licensing_Classifications/

The answer to the original question is surely yes.

Bad work is another question. There's always 110.12 for making them redo it.

Low vo guys generally know nothing about running conduit. They use those offset couplings because they don't know how to use a bender amongst other things.

I did not know they made those for EMT until now. What a waste of money.

as noted by others, yes.

normally raceways are excluded from their scope of work,
'cause they usually can't bend pipe worth a p00p.

supports are a code failure. fugly appearance is not. sorry.

landscape lighting. Low voltage fire alarm systems are specifically not included in
