NEC code for ice machine

I wonder if there is code stating that a local means of disconnect is required for ICE maker if it is hard wired. I wonder if the manufacturer provided switch is sufficient? I read somewhere in the internet that for European installation a disconnect means is a must.

It has a motor it needs an insight disconnecting means.

The factory switch could quilfy if it opens all ungrounded conductors directly not via relays etc.

Would a switch qualify if you have to remove a cover & said cover required a tool (screwdriver) to access it?
