NEC 300.7 a material must be used to prevent the circulation of warm air to a colder section of the raceway.

Does this apply to conduits that carry communications wiring also?

90.3 states Chapter 8 covers communications systems and is not subject to the requirements of Chapters 1 through 7 except where the requirements are specifically referenced in Chapter 8.

Pick your communications article and see if it refers back to chapter three.
