Ok here is the scenario. Two zones of radiant floor heat that are fed through one circulator pump.
What I would like to make happen is when either zone calls for heat the circulator will kick on.

Anybody have a particular relay to recomend to make this as easy as possible?
In my head it is easy but finding the correct product is the stumper.

Thanks

Re: Heating relay

If I am seeing this correctly, two relays, one for each thermostat with NO contacts rated for circulator motor current connected in parallel and in series with circulator motor. Coil ratings to match thermostat supply voltage.

Re: Heating relay

(As I tip-toe in the door...)

I agree, unless I'm missing something.

A couple ice cubes (probably 24V off the boiler).

This is what I'm picturing.

Then the 'trigger' on the boiler can be thrown on the unused side of the ice cube, or fed on the load side of the thermostat. (If applicable - that's the way my folks' house is. The boiler kicks on with the t-stat.

Edit: Actually, you could save $10 and pull 18-2 or -4 from stat to stat:
White = Power to each stat
Red = Load Side of each stat

It occured to me that since the 120V are combined off the relays, it makes sense to lose a relay and combine the control circuit instead.
