Transformer Testing

We are specifying the pre-purchase of a 2,000 kVA oil filled pad mount transformer, due to the long lead time of the equipment.

What acceptance tests should we have performed when the transformer arrives to verify the transformer arrived OK? We have already specified a shock sensor for the packaging, but I suspect a TTR, PI, perhaps an oil sample/DGA test?

Your guesses are right, in addition to those you should check all bolted connections with a microhmeter and conduct a winding resistance and excitation current test. The results of the last 2 tests are mostly for comparison purposes in the future.
