Bending Radius of 500 MCM shielded Primary Cable

I have been asked to give an opinion on whether a cable installed in a sectionalizing switch has been bent too tightly. Does anyone know of any good reference material that shows examples of this calculation? I believe the code says 12" x the full diameter of your cable. Thank you for your help.
